Winter Concerts

At Newtown’s Schools

The Newtown Public Schools’ 1999 winter concert calendar has been released by the department of music. Admission to all concerts is free. This year’s schedule is as follows (please note that some concerts are at different schools than where the students attend):

Monday, December 13, Newtown Middle School Choral Concert, at Newtown High School, 7 pm.

Wednesday, December 15, Hawley School Band and Orchestra Concert, at Hawley School, 7:30 pm (snow date December 22).

Thursday, December 16, Newtown Middle School Orchestra Concert, at Newtown High School, 7 pm.

Friday, December 17, Newtown High School Winter Concert, 7 pm, at Newtown High School (snow date November 20).

Monday, December 20, Middle Gate Band & Orchestra Concert, 7:30 pm, at Middle Gate School; also Hawley Chorus Concert, 7:30 pm, at Hawley School (snow date December 22).

Tuesday, December 21, Newtown Middle School Band Concert, 7 pm, at Newtown High School.

Tuesday, January 11, Sandy Hook School Band & Orchestra Concert, 7:30 pm, at Newtown High School (snow date January 12).

Wednesday, January 12, Middle Gate Chorus Concert, 7:30 pm, at Middle Gate School (snow date January 13).

Thursday, January 13, Head O’Meadow Band & Orchestra Concert, 7:30 pm, at Head O’Meadow School (snow date January 20).
