Coloratura Soprano In Weston, Saturday
WESTON â Encouraged by no less than supreme opera diva Beverly Sills, Renata di Pietro has surmounted the handicap of being legally blind and has become a critically acclaimed coloratura soprano and Celtic harpist. On Saturday, December 11, the talented musician will perform a free concert at 8 pm at Weston Public Library, 56 Norfield Road.
Ms di Pietro specializes in the reenactment of âThe Golden Era of The Coloratura Soprano,â using the characterization, period clothing and style of Lily Pons, Milizia Korjus, Galli-Curci, Tetrazzini and Ms Sills. She will be accompanied Saturday evening by her husband, Carl Hammer, a classically trained pianist and violinist.
