Police said this week that an overnight parking ban on local streets will remain in effect until March 15 to allow town crews to clear roads of snow in the event of storms.
A town ordinance bans vehicle parking on streets from sunset to sunrise between November 15 and March 15.
If police determine that any vehicle parked on a street overnight poses a nuisance, that vehicle may be towed away at the ownerâs or driverâs expense. Also, vehicle storage fees may apply in such cases.
The maximum penalty for violating the overnight parking ban is $90, police said.
