Adopt A Dog From The Pound

The following dogs are available for adoption from the Newtown pound, which is located at the end of Ethan Allen Road (behind the transfer station).

BROOK is a young adult female shepherd. She is spayed and a bundle of energy, very good with people, and some dogs. Her level of energy, coupled with her size (70 pounds) would require good supervision with children. Nonetheless, Brook has a sweet disposition and, despite having been abandoned, would be a wonderful addition to a family willing to spend some time in welcoming her into their home.

LADY is a very gentle and sweet golden lab. She weighs in at about 60 pounds but her size isn’t of concern since she is so mellow. Her very soft golden hair just begs to be petted and she will relish that for as long as you care to do it. She is a senior citizen at 12 or 13 years and is arthritic. She would do well in a quiet home setting. If you have a spot in your home where the warm winter sun shines then Lady would just love to spend her remaining days there in your loving care.

BOX CAR WILLIE is a middle age male terrier mix. He is a pretty calm guy and gets along with cats. He probably would do well with children with the proper supervision just as long as it is understood that he is well past his puppy days. He is housebroken and just loves petting.
