Cynthia Gallatin Named Associate VP At Quinnipiac

HAMDEN — Quinnipiac University has promoted Cynthia Gallatin of Newtown to the new position of associate vice president for online programs. She previously was dean of QU Online, the school’s distance learning division offering online courses for undergraduate and graduate degrees.

“Cynthia has done an extraordinary job leading a talented team in the development of online courses in all of ours schools,” said Kathleen McCourt, Quinnipiac’s senior vice president for academic affairs. “She also has helped the faculty mount new degree programs offered by the College of Professional Studies.”

Ms Gallatin was promoted to dean of QU Online in the summer of 2003. Enrollment under her leadership has grown from about 300 students in 2001, the year Quinnipiac launched QU Online, to approximately 1,600 this year.

Ms Gallatin, who is also an adjunct marketing professor in the School of Business, earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Bridgeport and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fairfield University.
