 The civic centerâs box office will not be open for first-day sales, so go through the TicketMaster vendor of your choice on Saturday. Tickets are very reasonable, priced at just $41.50 and $77 for this show. Anything remaining on Monday will then be available at the civic center in addition to the TicketMaster outlets.
 *The Webster Theater will host a show by the original line-up of ANTHRAX on Sunday, January 8. Tickets are $25 in advance, and the show will open with sets by God Forbid, Sworn Enemy and Manntis.
 LESS THAN JAKE will return to the Hartford club on January 27. Tickets for that all-ages show are $17.50. Opening will be A Whilhemlscream, Damone and Rock & Roll Soldiers.
 FULL BLOWN CHAOS will be in The Webster Underground on Friday, January 13. Tickets for that show are $10.
 *Southern CT State University has two public events, both Christmas shows, within the next week or so.
 Soul jazz vocalists WILL DOWNING and REGINA BELLE will perform at the New Haven universityâs Lyman Hall on Friday, December 9. Showtime is 8 pm and tickets are $30.
 Then on Sunday, December 11, jazz saxophonist and composer DAVE KOZ will headline his ninth annual âDave Koz and Friends Smooth Jazz Christmas Tour,â which this year features vocalist Patti Austin, pianist David Benoit, and guitarist and vocalist Jonathan Butler.
 Showtime for this event is 7:30, and tickets are $30.

 *Music at Mocha continues this weekend. Jim Allen has confirmed that an open mic will be held on Sundays, December 4 and 11. Musicians are invited to sign up any time after 4:30 at the coffee house at 3 Glen Road in Sandy Hook. The music begins at 5.
