Carolita "Tinker" Pratt, 82, of Clearwater, Fla., and Newtown, died peacefully November 24. She was born on October 14,1934, in Huntington, Vt. She was the third of nine children born to Mildred (Weston) and John Allen.

Three of her four children, John Pratt of Newtown, Darryel Pratt of Brookfield, and Brian Pratt of Dunedin, Fla.; two sisters, Lois (Allen) Belair and Cheryl (Allen) Greenwood; one brother, Dale Allen; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, survive her. Her parents; her siblings Harold Allen, Paul Allen, Phyllis (Allen) Huff, Ralph Allen, and David Allen; and her daughter Carol (Pratt) Williams predeceased her.

Ms Pratt was a retired dining room supervisor at Fairfield Hills Hospital where she worked for 34 years. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who raised her four children and was always happy to care for her grandchildren and those in need.

She loved to cook and bake, especially with her grandchildren. Her favorite time of year was Christmas, when she would spend days baking cookies and creating cookie trays, which she delivered to loved ones spreading joy and laughter wherever she went. Her loved ones say, "She was a bright star that guided her family though its darkest times, and she will be greatly missed."

Friends and family may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Saturday, December 3, from 10 am to noon. A service of remembrance will follow at noon.
