Sean Cotter and Cindy Allen

Joan and Carl Allen of Sandy Hook announce the engagement of their daughter, Cindy Allen, to Sean Cotter, the son of John Cotter and Regina Vino.

Ms Allen graduated from Newtown High School in 2001. She attended Lock Haven University as an undergrad, and then graduated from Western Connecticut State University. She is a resident of New Milford, and a third grade teacher for New Milford Public Schools.

Mr Cotter is a 1999 graduate of Centereach High School, and a graduate of Stony Brook University. Also a resident of New Milford, he is currently a high school math teacher at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury.

A May 2008 wedding is being planned.
