Ring Of Keys

On November 23, a person turned over to police a set of keys that was found lying on the ground at the intersection of Still Hill Road and Sherman Street in Sandy Hook.

That set of keys includes a key to an Audi automobile, as well as two house keys.

The owner of the keys should contact police to claim them at the police station at 3 Main Street, telephone 426-5841.

Saturn Sky Hits Tree

Police report that at about 12:30 pm November 20, motorist Joseph Boisvert, 43, of Southbury, who was driving a 2007 Saturn Sky two-seat convertible sports car northward on Hawleyville Road, lost control of the auto and then collided with a tree alongside the road.

After the crash, Boisvert left the scene of the accident before police arrived, police said.

Police said it took them six days to make contact with Boisvert to investigate the accident. Boisvert refused to provide a written statement on what occurred in the accident, police said.

Police gave Boisvert an infraction ticket for driving an unregistered vehicle and for making a restricted turn.

Cadillac Vs Ford

Motorist Jonathan Goodspeed, 48, of 3 Crabapple Lane, who was driving a 2002 Ford Escape SUV southward on South Main Street about 1:30 pm November 27, stopped in order to make a left turn onto Simm Lane, after which the Ford was struck from behind by southbound motorist Earl Wood, 68, of 1 Wills Road, who was driving a 2000 Cadillac Seville, police said.

There were no injuries. Police issued Wood a written warning for following too closely.
