With the completion of Thanksgiving, we are well into the busiest weeks of the year. The first weekend in December is traditionally full of activity, and 2007 is no exception.

Friday
November 30
Annual Newtown Tree Lighting, 6:30 pm, Ram Pasture, Elm Drive at Hawley Road, caroling will lead in to annual lighting of townâs Christmas Tree, also visits with Santa and Mrs Claus.
Saturday
December 1
Newtown Rotary Club 47th Annual Pancake Day, 8 amâ1 pm, Edmond Town Hall Alexandria Room, $7 adults, $3 ages 10 and under, Amber Alerts IDs will also be available during event.
