Jazz For A Wednesday Night

WATERBURY — Students and faculty members in the music department at Naugatuck Valley Community College will present “Wednesday Night Jazz” on December 8. Beginning at 8 pm, a variety of jazz classics for the Big Band such as those arranged by Count Basie and Duke Ellington will be performed.

Chick Corea and Miles Davis will also be composers featured. There will also be a medley of well-known tunes by Henry Mancini performed.

Admission is $5 per person. The concert will be performed in the college’s Mainstage Theatre, 750 Chase Parkway. Advance reservations are not necessary. For additional information, contact NVCC’s music department at 203/575-8039.
