Santilli Named President Of Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center

Masonicare has named Arthur E. Santilli of Newtown president of Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center, a 548-bed, multi-level healthcare facility in Wallingford.

Mr Santilli has experience in long term care organizations, acute care hospitals, rehabilitation and special education centers. He will be responsible for developing and carrying out the strategies needed for Masonic Geriatric Healthcare Center to continue to be a major provider of healthcare services.

Spero, president and CEO, of parent organization Masonicare, the state’s largest not-for-profit provider of senior focused healthcare and a leading home healthcare provider. “His strategic vision, leadership and resourcefulness will be an asset as we continue to meet the needs of today’s growing population of older adults.”

Since 1996, Mr Santilli has been president of his own consulting practice, APS New Ventures & Healthcare Associates, LLC, and F-O-R-T-U-N-E Personnel Consultants of Danbury, where he provided business development, operations management, executive search and marketing services to healthcare practitioners and organizations. From 1992 to 1996, he served as corporate CEO for St Luke’s Health Systems, Inc, and St Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh, N.Y. Previously he was president and CEO of St Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center and associate director of the J.T. Mather Memorial Hospital, both in Port Jefferson, N.Y., and assistant administrator of the Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr Santilli was named Man of the Year by the Filipino American Medical Association in New Jersey and Long Island, N.Y., and by Hope House Ministries Human Services, in Long Island, N.Y. He was also named Man of the Year in Health Care by The Village Times, Long Island, N.Y.

He received a master’s degree in medical biology and technology from Long Island University, N.Y. and a master’s in public health in hospital and health services administration from University of Hawaii, Honolulu.

Mr Santilli is a certified healthcare executive, American College of Healthcare Executives, a licensed nursing home administrator, and a member of numerous healthcare organizations. He was also on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
