WESTPORT – Pegasus Therapeutic Riding will hold its ninth annual Holiday Celebration on Sunday, December 7, 6 to 9 pm, at Anthropologie, 1365 Post Road East, in Westport. The evening – sponsored by Realty Seven, Inc. and Poppy Mead, GRI, will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, discount shopping, and a silent auction.

A 36-month lease on a new SUV – the 2004 Volvo XC90 – will be among the items raffled. Tickets for that item will be $50 (only 2,000 will be sold) and will the winner will be drawn on May 16, 2004, at the annual Pegasus Horse Show.

For those attending the event, Anthropologie (which will be donating a portion of all the evening’s proceeds to Pegasus) will be offering a 20% discount on all merchandise purchased. Hay Day Market of Westport will provide the hors d’ouevres and other treats while Purple Feet Wines and Spirits will provide the refreshments.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.

Pegasus Therapeutic Riding, Inc., was established in 1975 by a small group of volunteers who provided therapeutic riding to eight students at the Ox Ridge Hunt Club in Darien. Today, Pegasus provides therapeutic riding to 240 children and adults with physical, mental and emotional disabilities such as cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, blindness, autism and Downs syndrome. Programs run year round at nines stables in Connecticut and New York.
