Congratulations! The Middle School Youth Advisory Board/Kids Care Club, sponsored by NYS, has been selected as the highlighted group on the Channel 13 website. The group is being recognized for its community service.

Volunteers Needed: NYS is moving in early 2004 and is seeking assistance. Anyone who can lend a hand in any way would be appreciated. This is also a great opportunity for community service! Please call NYS if you would like to spend some time helping us.
Moms Groups
Moms of Multiples: Meets every other Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30am. The next meetings will be December 3 and 10.
Theyâre Here! The new Entertainment Books have arrived. They are $22 and can be picked up by at NYS.
Parent Programs
Parent Connection: A grassroots organization dedicated to raising awareness concerning substance abuse will continue after the first of the year. Please call NYS for further information.
Hope Support Group: Support group for parents of children involved with substance abuse. This group meets Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Parentâs Corner. All are welcome.
Youth Programs
Children Of Divorce Support Group: Begins Monday, December 1, from 6 to 7:15 pm.
Sib-Shops Support Group: For siblings of children who have disabilities. Meetings are once a month and begin Tuesday, December 2.
Both groups are for children ages 7 to 12. For further information, contact Laurie at NYS.
4H: Grades 5 and 6. The next meeting is Tuesday. Due to the change in the weather, meetings will now be held at NYS.
HYSAB: (High School Youth Advisory Board) The next meeting is Monday, December 1, at 5:45 pm.
MSYAB: (Middle School Youth Advisory Board) The next meeting is Tuesday, December 9, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm. Please watch for email update.
NYCAAP: (Newtown Youth Creating AIDS Awareness for Peers) Call for meeting schedule.
