Gem’s Owner

In February 2002, a loose 1.06-carat round brilliant-cut diamond was found near curbing at the front entrance to the Big Y supermarket at Newtown Shopping Village at 6 Queen Street, police report.

The gem is estimated to be worth approximately $4,000 at retail.
