Holiday Twilight Tours At Osborne Homestead Museum

DERBY — To experience the beautiful glow of holiday lights and decorations, the public is invited to visit the Osborne Homestead Museum during the museum’s popular Twilight Tours. On Fridays, December 5, 12, and 19, the museum will be open for self-guided tours from 4 to 6:30 pm. This season, the Osborne Homestead Museum is featuring the sights and sounds of The Nutcracker as its decorating theme. Each room in the museum reflects a special scene from the holiday classic.

In addition to the Twilight Tours, the museum will be open for guided tours through December 20. Hours are Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. Group tours for adults, schools, and youth programs are available every day of the week. Call 203-734-2513 for an appointment.

The Osborne Homestead Museum, which exhibits the fine art and antiques of Frances Osborne Kellogg, provides a wonderful backdrop for a holiday decorating tradition. There is no admission cost; donations are gratefully accepted.

The museum, a facility of the department of Environmental Protection, Office of Communication and Education, is at 500 Hawthorne Avenue, off Route 34.
