Sunday, December 7 – Pegasus Therapeutic Riding will hold its ninth annual holiday celebration on Sunday, December 7, 6 to 9 pm, at Anthropologie, 1365 Post Road East, in Westport. The evening – sponsored by Realty Seven, Inc. and Poppy Mead, GRI, will feature cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, discount shopping, and a silent auctions. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. A Volvo XC90 2004 will be among the items raffled.

Saturday, December 6 – Animals for Life in South Britain will host its seventh annual Holiday Pet Auction on Saturday, December 6, 10 am to 2 pm, at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury. There will be a large variety of cats and dogs available. All animals have been examined by a veterinarian and have received age-appropriate shots. In addition to the adoption, the event gives current pet owners a chance to have professional photographs taken with their pets and Santa Claus.
