Bluefish Owner To Speak At BPW Dinner Dec. 1

The Business and Professional Women’s Club (BPW) of Newtown will present Mary Jane Foster, owner of the Bridgeport Bluefish Baseball Club, on Monday, December 1. Ms Foster was honored in 1995 as the YMCA Volunteer of the Year by the Conference of Women’s Organizations for her work in the area of domestic violence.

Before attending law school, Ms Foster was an actress in New York, where she performed on stage and in film, television, radio, and in more than 200 commercials. She is known as a dynamic speaker. As part of the evening there will also be holiday entertainment.

The meeting and evening’s entertainment will be held at the Fireside Inn, 123 South Main Street. Registration begins at 6 pm. Dinner will be at 6:30. Entree choices are: Baked Stuffed Filet of Sole, Roast Top Round of Beef, and Chicken Picatta. Call in reservation along with entrée choice by Friday, November 28, to Laura Mayer, 426-8669.
