TPU Offers Online Course

WATERBURY — Have you ever wished that you had thought of the Pet Rock or McDonalds? Entrepreneurs see opportunities and take risks to realize the opportunity, according to Patricia Sanders, PhD, who will be teaching an eight-week online course titled “Entrepreneurship, Creativity and Innovation” for Teikyo Post University starting January 8.

Dr Sanders’ course will focus on exploring and creating new venture ideas. Students will study characteristics of successful entrepreneurs.

Dr Sanders plans to emphasize creativity and innovation in new venture creation. Unlike Teikyo Post University’s “Small Business Management” course and many of the Small Business Administration and Chamber of Commerce “how to start a small business” classes, Dr Sanders’ course will focus on the stage before the business plan is in place. The purpose of the course is to get students excited enough to focus on a thought process to develop and evaluate new business ideas.
