Dr And Mrs Timothy Brett Gardner

Jo Ellen Petty and Dr Timothy Brett Gardner were joined in marriage on June 3 at the Newtown Meeting House with the Rev Dr Mark Horton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Herbert and Joanna Petty of Bethel.

The groom is the son of Robert and Karen Gardner of Newtown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The maid of honor was Laura Petty, sister of the bride, of Peoria, Ill.

The bridesmaids were Theresa Donovan, Amy Wilucz, Kelley Frey, Carrie Lippincott, Holly Branger, Lini Alberghini, and Sarah Gardner, the groom’s sister.

The best man was Christopher Gardner, brother of the groom, of Newtown.

The ushers were Patrick Taylor, Chris Killheffer, Peter Ellman, Jason McBean, John Andrews, Raj Tandon, and John Petty, the bride’s brother.

The bride graduated from Bethel High School, the University of Delaware with a bachelor of science in dietetics, and Simmons College, Boston, with a master’s degree in physical therapy. She is a physical therapist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

The groom graduated from Newtown High School, Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., with a bachelor of arts in history, and the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington in May with a doctor of medicine degree. He is an internal medicine resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

The reception took place at Blue Jay Orchards in Bethel.

Following a wedding trip to France and Italy, the couple is residing in Quechee, Vt.
