The Resiliency Center of Newtown will host its next monthly Coffee Hour on Wednesday, December 3, from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

It is a time to make community connections in a warm and safe space, and each month offers a special guest who has knowledge in wellness.

For December, Kim Bepko (BeautyCounter) will be visiting beginning at 9:30 that morning. Ms Bepko will also be at the center on December 3, from 6:30 to 8 pm, for those who are unable to make it during the day.

On Friday, December 5, Carla Barzetti (All Calm Down) will lead guided healing meditation from 9:30 until 10:30 am. Each month’s guided meditation session focuses on a different virtue. December’s virtue is Determination.

Ms Barzetti is a mother of two children currently residing in Newtown. She has been doing intuitive energy healing work since 2001. On June 30, she completed a free online guided healing meditation video series called All Calm Down with the help of The Jesse Lewis Choose Love Foundation.

Her passion for helping people on a deep spiritual level led her to The Resiliency Center, where she will continue to offer free monthly guided healing meditations. All of the meditations will have a general theme which will change each month, but they will all have a clear healing, centering, grounding aspect to them.

Ms Barzetti’s hope is to help people hold their grounded connection to their true selves as often as possible. By participating in these monthly meditations, she hopes attendees will be able to see more clearly when they are ungrounded/disconnected, and they will have the tools to find their way back.

Ms Barzetti’s workshops will continue on the first Friday of each month. Registration is requested, and can be done by email to jholguin@resiliencycenterofnewtown.org. Additional information is available by calling 203-364-9750.

The Resiliency Center of Newtown is at 153 South Main Street.

Founded in the aftermath of 12/14, The Resiliency Center of Newtown has a full day of special offerings, including crisis counseling, planned for the third anniversary of the Sandy Hook School shootings. Residents can take advantage of the programs free of charge.
