Rear-End Accident
Eastbound motorist Diane Duncan, 52, of 4 Osborne Hill Road was driving a 2008 Ford station wagon near 32 Berkshire Road about 4:37 pm November 22, when she stopped for traffic conditions, after which the Ford was struck from behind by an eastbound 2007 Honda coupe driven by Christopher Balsamo, 22, of Seymour, police said.
There were no injuries. Police said they verbally warned Balsamo for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Disturbance
Police report they charged a Maltbie Road man with two offenses on the night of November 20 following a disturbance on that street.
Police said they charged James M. Pearson, Sr, 42, of 25 Maltbie Road with second-degree breach of peace and with reckless use of the highway by a pedestrian.
While he was on foot, Pearson stopped a traveling motorist whom Pearson wanted to slow down, police said. Pearson banged on the motoristâs vehicle and acted tumultuously, police said.
Police released Pearson on a written promise to appear in court on December 7.
