Celebration To Mark Launching Of Newtown’s First Literary Magazine

Editor Georgia Monaghan and staff of the new arts and literary magazine, The Newtowner, invite the public to the official launching of the quarterly publication, Saturday evening, December 11, from 6 to 9, at the C.H. Booth Library meeting room, 25 Main Street.

“The first of its kind for the area, The Newtowner is an arts and literary magazine devoted to all that is best about the place we call home. Our goal is to call attention to the rich and diverse cultural flavor of our local area, highlighting hometown writers, poets, artists, performers, and photographers.,” said Ms Monaghan.

 Enjoy gourmet refreshments while mingling with Newtown’s established and upcoming literati, and meet the first issue’s featured poets, authors, and artists. Authors will present readings from the premiere issue, and authors and artists will be on hand to autograph collector’s first editions of The Newtowner. Premiere Issue and Limited Edition framed signed covers will be available for purchase during the evening, as well.
