Bernard Edward Cino, Sr

Beloved Father And Grandfather

Bernard Edward Cino, Sr, 74, previously of Bridgeport, died November 3, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, Md. He was born in Carbondale, Penn., November 11, 1935, to Angelo and Mary Scalzo Cino.

He was married for 48 years to his cherished wife, Lourdes Braca Cino, who predeceased him. He is survived by his four children, Michele Casson and husband, Glenn, of Newtown, Bernard Cino, Jr, and Lourdes Gless, also of Newtown, and Bernadine Nealy and her husband, Pat, of Monkton, Md.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Theresa Kusha, and brother, Charles Cino, Sr.

Mr Cino was a 1935 graduate of Central High School and served in the Connecticut National Guard. He was a member of the BPO Elks, Bridgeport Auxiliary Police, and was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, St Francis X Cabrini Council 4096, St Andrew’s Church in Bridgeport.

Mr Cino was a machinist at Bridgeport Machines and later at Sikorsky Aircraft.

A Memorial Mass will take place Monday, November 29, at St Andrew’s Catholic Church, 435 Anton Street, Bridgeport. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Stella Maris Hospice, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093; or to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org.
