The school district has released the 2016-17 Winter Performance Schedule for concerts and events for the public schools.Evita.

According to Director of Visual and Performing Arts Michelle Hiscavich, the concerts are free and members of the public are welcome to attend. The listings show school, group performing, location, date, and time.

Hawley Elementary School's third and fourth grade chorus concert, at Reed Intermediate School, November 30, 7 pm; snow date December 8.

Sandy Hook Elementary School's fourth grade chorus, at Sandy Hook School, December 1, 7 pm; snow date December 8.

Newtown Middle School's eighth grade concert - which will include the band, chorus, and orchestra - at Reed Intermediate, December 5, 7 pm; snow date December 19.

NMS seventh grade concert - which will include the band, chorus, and orchestra - at Reed, December 7, 7 pm; snow date December 20.

Newtown High School orchestra concert, at Reed, December 12, 7 pm; snow date December 21.

The NHS Art Portfolio Class Exhibit at C. H. Booth Library will be on display during library hours January 13 to 26. A reception to meet the artists is scheduled for 5 pm to 7:30 pm at the library on January 26.
