Nighthawks Sign/Commit To Compete In College

A trio of Newtown High School athletes recently signed their National Letters of Intent to play sports at the collegiate level, and one committed to bringing her game to the next level as well, this past week.
Katie Laaksonen will attend the University of Charleston, in Charleston, WV to play Division II softball. Kari Djonne will go to the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio for Division I diving. Mark Urso will attend Cleveland State University, in Cleveland, Ohio, for Division I lacrosse.
Additionally, Mali Klorczyk committed to Adelphi University-Garden City, NY, to play Division II basketball.
