âTrouble In Toyland Report Released
HARTFORD (AP) â A Connecticut public interest advocacy group is releasing its annual report on dangerous toys, ahead of the holiday shopping season.
Members of ConnPIRG, U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the president and CEO of the Connecticut Childrenâs Medical Center, the stateâs child advocate and an emergency medicine pediatrician are all scheduled to appear together Tuesday to discuss ConnPIRGâs 26th âTrouble in Toylandââ report.
ConnPIRGâs annual survey traditionally identifies toys that may pose choking hazards and toys that contain toxic chemicals.
The group says this yearâs report will highlight how there are still toys on the market that pose a safety hazard, despite product safety reforms made in 2008.
ConnPIRG also has an interactive site with information on toys for smart phones.
