Full-Day Kindergarten Survey

The Newtown school district posted a survey on its website, www.newtown.k12.ct.us, that will be available until January 21, according to the district.

For the survey, the district is seeking parents with children entering kindergarten in the next three years to respond to questions regarding the possible implementation of full-day kindergarten in the Newtown Public Schools.

A survey on the subject was last released in November 2010.

According to the district, area preschools will also be contacted regarding the survey to reach as many Newtown residents with children entering kindergarten in the next three years as possible. If parents do not have internet access, copies of the survey may be obtained from the Board of Education office at the Newtown Municipal Center on the Fairfield Hills Campus, or by calling 203-426-7606.
