Correction

In an article in the 11/18/11 edition of The Bee entitled “Anatomy Of A Five Percent Budget Cut,” Independent Legislative Council member Kevin Fitzgerald was described as disagreeing with defeated Independent selectman candidate Po Murray’s assertion that school district cuts would be off the table in an IPN plan to reduce spending by five percent over two years.

After the story was published online and in print, Mr Fitzgerald informed The Bee that he does not disagree with Ms Murray’s position on this issue. His reference to “no sacred cows” in his comments to The Bee was not an endorsement of discussions to cut education spending, according to Mr Fitzgerald.
