13th Annual WCSU Wine Tasting

DANBURY — Fine wines from around the world and a richly varied buffet of foods prepared by local chefs will usher in the season at Western Connecticut State University’s 13th Annual Holiday Wine Tasting on Sunday, December 4.

The wine tasting celebration will be from 4 to 7 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Westside Campus Center on the university’s westside campus, 43 Lake Avenue Extension. Tickets are $50, with proceeds from the benefit supporting the Caraluzzi Scholarship Endowment.

Guests will be invited to sample a diverse selection of domestic and international wines offered at more than a dozen tasting stations. The tastings will be complemented by hot and cold hors d’oeuvres provided by La Zingara Restaurant of Bethel and Caraluzzi’s Markets.

Live jazz music will be performed by students from the WCSU School of Visual and Performing Arts.

Sponsors include Caraluzzi’s Markets of Bethel, Georgetown and Newtown, and Caraluzzi’s Nutmeg Discount Liquors of Bethel. Wines for the tasting will be presented by as many as 15 different distributors of Nutmeg Liquors.
