Beloved Son And Brother

Shaun W. McLean, 30, of Newtown, died suddenly November 23. He was born September 3, 1979, the son of William J. McLean, Jr, and Judith (Olson) McLean.

Mr McLean was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1998, and was most recently a student at Porter & Chester in Watertown, studying to become a electrician. He enjoyed skydiving, rock climbing, playing softball, and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Kelly Marie McLean and her friend, Joe Cintron; his grandmother Veronica McLean of Bethel; grandparents, Richard and Marie Barnes of Rancho Cordova, Calif.; a nephew; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, Monday, November 30, from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 1, at 11 am, at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made in Mr McLean’s name to Teen Challenge, 86 Spring Street, New Haven CT 06519.
