Young visitors to EverWonder Children's Museum are thankful for everything from friends and family to ice cream and meat. Others love the museum and its offerings, leaf piles, and their hometown.

The museum, at 31 Pecks Lane, has dedicated one of its art labs this month to The Thankful Tree. Staff members have created a paper tree that covers one wall of the lab, and children have been invited to draw and decorate leaves to be added to the tree.

Heartfelt notes written on paper leaves have been steadily added to the tree, which boasted dozens of messages as of November 22.

For a few weeks, children have been tracing leaf patterns and then decorating them for The Thankful Tree at EverWonder Children's Museum. Once each leaf is cut out, staff members have been adding them to a tree in one of the museum's Art Labs. (Bee Photo, Hicks)
