David Polcyn
David Polcyn, 57, of Sedona, Ariz., died November 15, while hiking in the Beaver Creek area of the Coconino National Forest. He was born in Chicago, October 11, 1957.
He graduated from Newtown High School in 1975, and from the University of Connecticut in 1980 with a degree in international business. He was a self-employed businessman who lived and taught English for 18 years in Fukuoka, Japan.
Mr Polcyn had a great love for his family as well as hiking, nature, and exploring Indian ruins.
His parents Carole and Stanley Polcyn of Newtown; his wife of 27 years, Hitomi Polcyn, and daughter, Sachie Polcyn, of Sedona; brothers Mark Polcyn, and his wife Patti, of Fullerton, Calif., and James Polcyn of Saratoga, Calif.; three sisters and their spouses Carla and Patrick Polcyn McCarthy of Armonk, N.Y., Linda and Joe Polcyn Peters of New Hope, Penn., and Suzanne and Joe Polcyn DeLuca of Valley Forge, Penn.; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins survive Mr Polcyn.
