Police report they arrested a New York State man on seven offenses, including four drug charges, after stopping the vehicle that he was driving on Wasserman Way, near Trades Lane, about 9:23 pm on November 22.
Police said they stopped motorist Alan Travis, 29, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., who was driving a 1999 Volkswagen Jetta whose rear marker plate was not illuminated.
Police said they found that Travis was in possession of 87 bags of suspected marijuana, which weighed a total of 2.84 ounces. Also, Travis was in possession of $2,918 in cash, a pellet pistol, and an electronic scale, police said.
Travis was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and failure to illuminate a rear marker plate.
Police said they held Travis on $25,000 bail for an arraignment November 23 in Danbury Superior Court.
Travis was being held on $20,000 bail on November 24 in the Bridgeport Correctional Center for a December 1 court appearance.
