Moving Violations

Police said motorist Michael Servidio, 31, of Bethel was seen driving through a stop sign posted at the intersection of Hattertown Road and Route 302 at about 11:45 am on November 22, so they stopped him to investigate.

Police charged Servidio with failure to obey a stop sign and with driving with a suspended license.

Police released Servidio on a written promise to appear in court on December 8.

Arrest Warrant

Newtown police said that Watertown police arrested Kristin Pfeiffer, 41, of Fairfield in Watertown on the night of November 23, after learning that Pfeiffer was wanted on an arrest warrant that was issued to Newtown police.

Pfeiffer was charged with first-degree failure to appear in court stemming from original charges of third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny, Newtown police said.

The burglary/larceny charges stem from a May incident in which Pfeiffer allegedly illegally entered a vacant residence in Sandy Hook Center and stole some household items, according to police.

On November 23, police released Pfeiffer on $2,500 bail for a December 8 court appearance.

Impact

Police report a two-vehicle collision in the parking lot at the US Post Office at 5 Commerce Road on November 17.

Motorist Robert Stampp, 66, of Mandeville, La., who was driving a 1997 Subaru Legacy station wagon, drove forward into the rear bumper of a 2008 Lincoln Navigator SUV driven by Melissa Beylouni, 40, of 7 Stonewall Ridge Road, police said.

There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
