Mr and Mrs Mark Engengro

Melissa Burns and Mark Engengro were married on July 7, 2006, at St John’s of the Cross Church in Middlebury. A reception followed at Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.

The bride, a former resident of Newtown, is the daughter of Janet Dunne of Bethel and Robert Burns of Beverly, Mass. She was given into marriage by her parents.

The groom is the son of Mark and Rosemary Engengro of Hamden.

Elizabeth Grauer of Newtown was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Burns of Meriden, Christina Engengro of Hamden, Jessica Thom of Chicago, Ill., Casey Klar of Boston, and Amanda Ruzzo of Boston.

Emma Burns served as flower girl.

Robert Engengro of Hamden was the best man. Matt Burns of Meriden, Tony Testa of Hamden, Steven Young of New York City, and Michael Calarusso of Wenham, Mass., were the ushers.

Mrs Engengro graduated from Newtown High School. She attended Salve Regina University, and earned her master’s degree at Western CT State University. She is a special education teacher for the New Fairfield Public Schools System.

Mr Engengro graduated from Notre Dame High School and Bryant College. He is currently a real estate developer for Connsite Development.

Following their honeymoon in Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, the couple is now living in Waterbury.
