Mr and Mrs Gregory Pierce

Shannon Marie O’Neill and Michael Gregory Pierce were married on July 1, 2006, by the Reverend Thomas Ptaszynski. The wedding ceremony took place at Saint Ann Roman Catholic Church in Milford, and a reception followed at The Waterview in Monroe. The bride was given into marriage by her father.

The bride is a daughter of Martin and Karen O’Neill of Milford. The groom is a son of Gregory and Mary Pierce of Newtown.

Sisters of the bride, Megan O’Neill and Colleen O’Neill, shared the privilege of being maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Erin Buscemi, Stephanie Hornak and Susan Zybert.

Mark Grant and Kevin Porter served as best men. The groomsmen were Patrick O’Neill (brother of the bride), Christopher Pierce (brother of the groom), and Michael Pellegrino.

Mrs Pierce graduated from Lauralton Hall in Milford. She then graduated from Providence College, and is now attending Sacred Heart University pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education. She is employed by the Newtown Public Schools System.

Mr Pierce graduated from Newtown High School. He also graduated from Siena College, and then Sacred Heart University with a master’s degree in elementary education. He is currently a teacher at Rockwell School in Bethel.

Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the Pierces are living in Newtown.
