WILTON — Wilton Historical Society is presenting “The World of a Child, 1870-1970,” an exciting presentation of a century of dolls, toys, dollhouses and trains, at the Betts-Sturges-Blackmar House, 224 Danbury Road (Route 7), until the end of January.

The exhibition is highlighted by a room featuring running trains, plus stationary trains and historic memorabilia. Also on view are cast iron wheeled toys and Schoenhut’s  “Humpty Dumpty Circus.”

A special feature is the re-created Victorian Ambler family parlor filled with a Christmas tree, 19th Century toys and dolls and a table set for holiday dessert.

A full gift shop is also open.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, noon to 4 pm; and Sunday, 1-4 pm. Admission is $2 for adults, with children free. For more information, call 762-7257.
