The boys finished their season with a 15-1 overall record, third place in the South West Conference and 13th overall in the Class L in the state of Connecticut while the girls finished 9-6 overall, sixth in the conference and ninth in the Class L in the state.

Head coach Rich Pesce and the tri-captains, Glenn Stiewing, Joe Blanchard and Chris Carolan reflected on their successful season. Pesce started the season with much apprehension, losing number one runner Stiewing to an injury and not knowing how the rest of the team would develop. That apprehension turned into positive reinforcement and the boys responded, ending a very successful season.

At the end of the banquet, Pesce began to reflect towards next year and the upcoming season, naming the captains to lead the team. At the helm will be Jeff Heller, AJ Palmer and Ryan Ignatius. These three runners have been to camps, competed on successful teams and have a strong work ethic to keep the tradition going for the Nighthawks.

Pesce will return to guide the Nighthawks.
