14th Annual
Newtown Holiday Festival

All events run to 5 pm.
Festival tickets are required for admission to all events,
unless otherwise indicated.
Tickets are $15 each for adults, or $8 seniors
and children ages 8 to 14.
10 am âCrafts Show opens, three rooms of C.H. Booth Library including the community room, 26 dealers are expected; admission is free, with or without a Festival ticket.
         âAntiques Show opens, Edmond Town Hall gymnasium, over 20 dealers expected to participate; admission is with a Festival ticket or $3 at the door.

11 am âFamily Workshop, Newtown Congregational Church community room, children and parents invited to work on crafts projects (not a childcare offering, this is an event for children and parents to participate in together).
âFestival of Trees, Trinity Church undercroft, decorated theme trees, baskets and decorative accessories will be available through a silent auction, separate section of similar trees will also be set up for children.
âHouse Tours begin, five private homes will be decorated and open for guided walk-through tours; maps to homes are in Festival program books, available the day of the Festival at C.H. Booth Library and Edmond Town Hall.
           âNew England Café, Newtown Congregational Church House (lower kitchen area), refreshments including muffins, soft drinks, etc.
         âVictorian Tea, Edmond Town Hall Alexandria Room, refreshments including tea and scones, with musicians performing background music all afternoon (vocalists, pianists, bell choirs, etc); free with Festival ticket or $3 at the door.
         âNewtown Christian Church Carolers and the Newtown High School Trumpet Quartet will be performing throughout the day. Area childrenâs groups and adult choirs will also be performing during the festival at various locations, including Girl Scouts in grades 4-6 (2-4 pm at Newtown Meeting House).

11 am and 1 pm âPerformances of A Holiday Malenkee Nutcracker, Edmond Town Hall auditorium, original production by Malenkee Ballet Repertoire Company of Newtown will have character of Drosselmeier narrating excerpts of the holiday ballet and speaking directly to children in the audience. Admission is with a Festival ticket or $3 without.

11:30 am â Newtown artist David Merrill will offer tours of his extensive murals in Edmond Town Hall. Mr Merrill will discuss the many local landmark buildings and views and historical personalities depicted on the walls. Tours will be 30 minutes each, and will begin at 11:30, 1, 2 and 3 pm. Participants should meet in the town hallâs lobby.
2:30 pm âNewtown High School Madrigal Singers will perform at Edmond Town Hall auditorium. Open to public free of charge.

5 pm âTrinity Church will offer a service of âLessons and Carols for Advent,â featuring Trinity Church Choir and music minister Maria Coffin. Open to the public free of charge.
Shuttle buses will be running continuously between all Holiday Festival events.
Parking is available at Edmond Town Hall, Newtown Savings Bank/Newtown Youth Services (the new lot behind the buildings on Main Street), and Newtown Middle School (shuttle buses will be picking up and dropping off passengers on a regular basis).
