Holiday Open House & Auction Planned For Nov. 29
Toll Brothers is hoping to combine some holiday shopping with a visit to some of its newest homes in Sandy Hook with a holiday open house and auction event Thursday, November 29. All proceeds from the special event will benefit Canine Advocates of Newtown (CAN).
The event will be at Regency of Newtown, the new subdivision on Oakview Road. From 5 to 9 pm the public is invited to stop in and bid on a number of items, including a European facial valued at $100, two $100 gift certificates from The Inn at Newtown, a huge stocking full of goodies, and more. Items continue to be confirmed daily, said Mary Ellen Johnson of Toll Brothers.
In addition to the auction, visitors will be welcome to view at least two of the new constructions, which will be decorated for the holidays.
Representatives of CAN will also be at the open house with their Holiday Giving Tree, which features wishlist ornaments (requests for financial donations or items that can be used at the current town pound), as well as the plans for the new pound. The volunteer group has been dedicating much of its fundraising efforts recently toward the new pound, which will replace the current outdated one located at the town transfer station.
