Pet Food Drive To Benefit
Animals For Life
Â
WOODBURY â The Woodbury FFA is sponsoring a Pet Food Drive to benefit Animals for Life, a local animal rescue group, during the week of Monday, November 29. Donations of pet food (preferably Lamb & Rice variety, since it is easy to digest) and cat litter can be brought to the Agri-Science Building at Nonnewaug High School.
The drive will end of Saturday, December 4, with the first annual Woodbury FFA Holiday Open House, which will be held at the Nonnewaug Agri-Science Building. The Open House will feature the sale of holiday wreaths, plants and arrangements grown and/or designed by the Woodbury FFA members.
The Open House will also include an Animals for Life Pet Adoption Fair, which will feature a number of dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in need of loving homes, as well as pet portraits by local artist Chris Sarte.
There will also be the sale of baked goods and crafts . . . as well as a visit from Santa Claus!
The plant sale will be held from 10 am to 2 pm, while the Pet Adoption will be held from 11 am to 3 pm.
For further information on the holiday Open House, call 1-203-266-4038.
