To the Editor:

Thank you to the generous residents of Newtown who helped Fill the Fire Truck this past Saturday. Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue, Newtown Hook & Ladder and Hawleyville Fire collected donations in front of Big Y and Botsford Fire and Dodgingtown Fire collected donations in front of Stop & Shop. On this chilly day we were able to collect 90 boxes of food, 47 turkeys, 7 hams, and $1,811 in cash and gift cards.

It wasn’t our best year but we were able to make a difference on the shelves of the FAITH Food Pantry.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and we look forward to seeing you next year!
