Members of all five of Newtown’s fire companies will be outside two of the town’s food markets this weekend, collecting donations for FAITH Food Pantry.

The 13th Annual Fill The Fire Truck Food Drive will take place Saturday, November 23, from 9 am to 2 pm. Members of Hawleyville, Hook & Ladder and Sandy Hook companies will be outside Big Y, at 6 Queen Street; while Botsford and Dodgingtown will be stationed outside Stop & Shop, in Sand Hill Plaza at 228 South Main Street.

Food, personal hygiene and cleaning items will all be accepted on Saturday, as will financial donations. Everything will be delivered to the non-ecumenical pantry located in the undercroft of St John’s Church in Sandy Hook Center that afternoon.
