Officials To Take The Oath

Approximately 35 elected officials will take the oath of office at a swearing-in ceremony Sunday, November 28 at 2 pm at Newtown High School.

Leading the list of officials to be duly sworn will be First Selectman Herb Rosenthal who was reelected to a second term earlier this month. Fellow selectmen Joe Bojnowski and Bill Brimmer will join him. Also taking the oath will be the 12 members of the Legislative Council, including the three newcomers, Dan Rosenthal, Ruby Johnson and Doug Brennan.

Several other elected town officials will also be sworn in.

To begin, Probate Judge Margot Hall is expected to swear in Town Clerk Cindy Curtis Simon. From there, Mrs Curtis Simon will swear in the remaining officials.
