Garden Club Greens Sale

The Garden Club of Newtown will hold its annual Christmas Sale on Saturday, December 4, from 9 am to 3 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown.

The sale will include fresh evergreen and grapevine wreaths, swags and holiday arrangements handcrafted by club members.

A special feature this year will be an appearance by the garden author Rea Lubar Duncan, who will be autographing copies of her new book, Down to Earth, from 10 am to 3 pm. Mrs Duncan has written a monthly garden article for Connecticut Magazine since 1983, and Down to Earth features these articles.

A former resident of Danbury, she has also written a weekly garden column for regional newspapers for the past five years. Anyone who has read Mrs Duncan over the years will enjoy this opportunity to meet her and purchase signed copies of her new book.
