Federico Will Lead SCAN Program

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown, Inc. will present a demonstration of landscape painting in pastel using a water media underpainting by Frank Federico at its next meeting. Mr Federico will be in Newtown for the meeting on Wednesday, December 1, at 1:30 pm, at Newtown Meeting House, at 31 Main Street.

Mr Federico is the recipient of many honors and awards, including Grumbacher gold, silver and bronze medals and a Degas Pastel Society Award of Excellence, among many others.

Mr Federico holds elected/signature membership in many prestigious art organizations including the National Watercolor Society, where he won an award in the 1998 Annual Show in California. He has exhibited in one-man and group shows, including international exhibitions in Tokyo and in Stockholm, as well as US shows. His work is included in both public and private collections.

SCAN meetings are open to non-members at any level of experience or artistic background.
