Eleanor Scinto

Eleanor Scinto, 69, of North Bishop Avenue, Bridgeport, died on November 20 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of the late Patrick Scinto, Sr.

She was the mother of Patty Cirillo of Newtown.

She was born in Centralia, Penn., on December 7, 1929, daughter of Gertrude (Yeich) Ervin Hunter of Wilmington, Del., and the late Hurley Ervin, and was a resident of Bridgeport most of her life.

She is survived, in addition to her daughter, by six other daughters, Peggy Trimarki of Derby, Linda Straminski of Prospect, Wanda Brodacki of Oxford, Joyce Cressley of Lee, Fla., Lisa Happy of Seymour, and Crystele Scinto of Oxford; one son, Patrick M. Scinto, Jr, of Seymour; a sister, Joan Miller; two half brothers, Larry and Artie Ervin; a half sister, Janet Plantamura; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Earl Ervin, and a sister, Shirley Rosenburg.

The funeral service was private at the convenience of the family.

The Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, was entrusted with the arrangements.
