A Memorable Photo

To the Editor:

We at Hawley School wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr Rich Huggins and the Joseph P. Seagrams and Sons Company. The generous donation of their helicopter and Rich’s time as the pilot enabled Hawley School to make an aerial photograph of our entire student body and staff grouped in a giant “2000.” This photo, taken by our fifth grade teacher, Mr Jim Roodhuyzen, who bravely went up in the helicopter with PTA President Huggins, will serve as a reminder to all of the turn of the century.

We appreciate their generosity in donating the time and resources for this project. We especially appreciate that they fit us into a tight daily schedule. We know that no one at Hawley will ever forget this wonderful experience. What a terrific way for the Hawley family to symbolically welcome a new millennium!
