Kim Marie Siniak, 64, of Newtown, passed away on November 15, 2023 after a brief illness.

Born in Endicott, N.Y. on February 17, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (Hughes) Balomenos.

Raised in Westport, Kim was a graduate of Staples High School and Katherine Gibbs. She was employed in Human Resources at Financial Accounting Foundation in Norwalk.

Kim was a loving mother, yaya, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family in York Beach, Me., fried clams from Bob’s Clam Hut, and hunting for antiques. She was a wonderfully generous and nurturing soul, who could often be found tending to her garden or cooking in the kitchen. She expressed her love through her food, and found great joy in sharing her recipes.

She is survived by her daughters, Kirstin H. and Catherine J. Siniak; her grandchildren Kinsley, James, and Kira Francis; her sisters Karen Langer and husband Artie, Lisa Kantor and husband David; her brother Arthur “Jay” Balomenos Jr; and her niece, Kaitlyn Kantor.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
